🧰 3 Tools to Find the Feedback That Matters

🧰 Smart tools. Useful tips. Weekly.

Hola friend 👋,

I’m Josep. Each week, I hunt down practical tools and productivity hacks to help digital doers like you do more with less effort.

This week: customer feedback without the guesswork.

Your customers are already telling you what they love, where they get stuck, and what they wish worked better. The hard part is converting their feedback into meaningful actions.

Today, I’m sharing three tools that turn that messy pile into something useful.

Plus: an AI tool for recycling existing content, a Gemini shortcut for missed chats, and an unusual request from Pinterest’s CEO.

Know someone who’d love this newsletter? 6,000+ readers already do (thanks 🙌). Share it with friends & colleagues so they can join too. Join for free here.

Famewall

Your happiest customers are probably already saying useful things about you, perhaps in places future buyers will never see. Famewall gathers testimonials from different channels and turns them into a clean “Wall of Love” for your website.

Send customers a simple link, import praise from social platforms, and embed the results without touching code. Paid plans add AI summaries that save users from reading every review and help you identify what customers like, dislike, and care about most.

It’s also interesting that Famewall lets you collect video testimonials and turn them into social media clips. Of course, customers will need a decent setup (camera and mic) if you want those videos to look good.

It’s great that they have a free plan, but a limit of 10 testimonials may fall short for many projects. I also don’t love that some paid plans cap the number of video testimonials, collection pages, and published testimonials on your wall – those limits feel a bit artificial.

Mouseflow

Surveys tell you what customers say. Mouseflow shows you what they actually do. It records sessions and turns them into heatmaps, scroll maps, and friction signals when people hesitate, rage-click, or leave.

The useful twist is its AI agent: instead of watching recordings for hours, you can ask he AI assistant what is going wrong and let it look for patterns in the data / recordings.

The free plan covers 500 sessions a month, but it does not include the AI agent (meh). Also, paid plans start at $25 a month, which feels a bit on the expensive side. But my main complaint is that the AI-friendly MCP feature (to connect to Claude or ChatGPT) is only available on the Premium plan ($300+ a month).

Userback

“The page is broken” is the least useful bug report in the world. Userback fixes that by letting people annotate a screenshot or record their screen right inside your site or app.

It also handles feature voting, in-app surveys, and session replay on higher plans. All the feedback is centralized in one place, and you can push it to platforms like Jira, ClickUp, or Zapier.

The MCP connection seems available on all the plans for now, and paid plans are cheaper than other tools (e.g. Mouseflow) – there is a free plan too. However, Userback is a little harder to get comfortable with than the alternatives, mostly because it can do more and goes deeper on each feature.

✨ Totally Off-Topic… But Brilliant

If you create videos or podcasts, you are probably sitting on clips you never have time to cut. Exemplary.ai does the chopping for you.

Upload your recording and the AI automatically generates short vertical clips, captions, transcripts, translations, and audiograms, though you will still want to polish the results by hand. You can then chat with the built‑in AI assistant to pull out quotes or quick summaries from the content.

It is a crowded category, with plenty of tools that do something similar. That said, this one stands out for its unusually generous free plan, and its paid tiers are noticeably more affordable than most competitors. However, if you need to generate media with AI (for example b‑roll videos or images), Exemplary AI is not the right fit – check Synthesia or Descript out instead.

⚡This Week’s Productivity Hack

Use Gemini to catch up on missed Google Chat messages.

Come back from a day off and find a wall of unread Google Chat threads? Instead of opening every conversation, ask Gemini for the short version.

Google Chat is now available as a data source inside the Gemini app, so you can ask in plain English what you missed and what still needs a reply.

Try this:

  1. Open the Gemini app (or the extension in your Gmail)
  2. Make sure Google Chat is enabled as a data source
  3. Ask: "Summarize the unread messages in my Chat from the last 3 days and flag anything that needs a reply from me."

You get the gist of the conversation and a short list of what actually needs your attention. Much better than opening 40 messages to discover only two of them matter.

🍿 Plot Twist of the Week

Here is something you do not hear every day: the boss of a social media company asking governments to keep children off social media.

Pinterest’s CEO recently called on governments to ban social media for users under 16, arguing that the responsibility should not fall on parents alone (check out the source).

That is a striking position from someone inside the industry. Pinterest has less to lose than TikTok or Instagram, of course, but it still adds weight to a debate that is moving quickly.

For creators and marketers, it is worth watching. If under-16 restrictions spread, the platforms you rely on, and who you can reach there, could change fast.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading! Next time: tools to help remote teams stay in sync without living in meetings.

Cheers,

Josep
